Project: Country Estate Remodelling

This was an estate wide remodelling and refurbishment project with multiple projects running simultaneously in order to de risk the project and deliver to the clients programme. The works comprised of the following;
The construction of a basement extension followed by full refurbishment of the listed Victorian gothic mansion; incuisve of the restoration of historic fabric and finishes such as lime plaster, fibrous plaster, joinery, fireplaces and mosaic flooring and the integration of new specialist finishes, joinery, audio visual and environmental control systems.
The construction of a swimming pool, spa and gym building. Refurbishment of three existing cottages on the site to provide accommodation for the Estates Manager, Housekeeper and Head Gardener. Extensive landscaping comprising formal garden works, remodelling of the lake, repositioning the tennis courts and works to main and secondary drives
Provision of an estate-wide heating system comprising the conversion of an existing machinery barn into an Energy Centre housing biomass boiler plant, ground source heat pumps, full internal specialist acoustic plant enclosures plus the provision of heating main pipes and trenches across the estate grounds to serve the various buildings
Services Provided:
- Cost planning
- Procurement
- Post contract services throughout the construction stages of each contract
- Assistance to the Project Manager to establish the project programme and phasing, reducing project risks, and keeping the client fully in control of their expenditure at all times
- Allowing them to make changes during the course of the project without incurring additional expenditure due to delays.
- Control of the post-construction Fixtures, Furnishings and Equipment (FF&E) budget for the client involving close liaison with the interior designer.
